 Pick up the item in person: By inspecting the item in person before paying, you can be sure it meets your expectations and actually exists. If possible, meet at a public, well-lit location.

 Ask for a tracking number: If pickup isn’t an option and the item needs to be shipped, always ask for a tracking number. Preferably, have valuable items sent via certified or insured mail.

Tips for Sellers

 Don’t ship until after payment: Always check your own banking app first to verify that the payment has actually been credited to your account. Never blindly trust a screenshot of a payment receipt that a buyer sends you; unfortunately, these are easy to forge.

 Be cautious with international transactions: Be skeptical if a buyer offers to pay (much) more than your asking price, or if they ask you to ship the product abroad via unknown courier services.

 Protect your privacy: Never share private information unnecessarily, such as a copy of your ID, your bank card, or your login credentials. Nooitteduur.nl will never ask for this information via chat, text message, or email.

What to do if you notice suspicious behavior?
